Missions

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Go therefore and make disciple’s of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”  – Matthew 28:18-20
“Missions is God’s plan for reaching all the nations with the good news of Jesus Christ by sending His people to tell them about and show them the gracious, redeeming love of the glorious God.” – David Horner

We believe that we are called to “GO INTO ALL THE WORLD” with the good news that God loves us and wants a PERSONAL REALTIONSHIP with us (Mark 15:15).  At Shiloh Baptist Church “all the world” means using our time, talents and resources at the local jail, the pregnancy crisis center or the assisted living centers and nursing homes right here in our community. Sometimes, it means providing meals for home bound persons or food through a Food Pantry.

It also means going to places like Mexico, Africa, Nicaragua, India, Guatemala, Haiti, Venezuela  and points in between to prayer walk, construct church facilities and orphanages, run Vacation Bible Schools, render medical aid, teach pastors and church leaders and provide food relief.

It means financially supporting missions and evangelism through the Southern Baptist Cooperative Program, the Florida Baptist Convention and the Shiloh Baptist Association. We believe that, when it comes to missions,  every believer must PRAY, GIVE and GO!
